As founders and river guides, our Mission is to inspire a deep and lasting connection to and care for Alaska’s landscape and for our planet’s rivers in guests and staff through immersive, personalized, unforgettable river adventures which prioritize safety, awareness, and sustainability.

APEx River Policies
Alaska Paddle Expeditions guides have a wealth of knowledge, experience, and outdoor certifications. In order to accomplish our Mission & Vision, trips are accepted and planned at the guides’ discretion for the safety of all involved.
We are an equal opportunity guide service and outfitter. We will never turn away a guest or employee based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, national origin, disability, or genetic information. However, our expert Alaska Paddle Expeditions guides reserve the right to modify, terminate, or refuse trips if an individual falls outside our age, height, weight, and physicality requirements, or if other pressing safety concerns present themselves.
Alaska Paddle Expeditions offers custom trips on intermediate and advanced sections of river. Upon your arrival for this type of trip, and before it embarks, our guides may be inclined to confirm that a guest possesses the requisite skills to navigate these sections of river, and to self-rescue, should that guest’s boat be overturned while participating in an Alaska Paddle Expeditions.
